Eiro Energy Drink and the FAB-4
There are 4 powerful antioxidants actually created inside the body:
- Glutathione (GSH)
- Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)
- Catalase (CAT)
- Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)
The first 3: GSH, SOD, and CAT cannot be supplemented. Because these enzymes are synthesized inside the body, it is difficult to actually raise their levels through dietary means. It can be done, but it is difficult to convince the body to either increase production or recycle what the body already has. It is easier to create situations where the body will not have to expend as much of these critical enzymes. Glutathione is our body’s “Master Antioxidant”. It is used by virtually every cell to prevent oxidative stress and to neutralize free radicals. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) starts this free radical neutralization, but it needs Glutathione (GSH) and Catalase (CAT) to finish the process. With a constant bombardment of the cells by free radicals, you can see how these enzyme levels could become quite low, and in fact, there is a direct correlation with the speed of aging and a reduction of these enzymes, especially Glutathione. Nutritional scientist Dr. Michael Golgan calls glutathione “the life-extending master antioxidant.” If there was a way to slow down this decrease and even possibly raise the levels of these critical enzymes, then you could also possibly slow down the aging process. (1)* Research has shown that the EGCG from Green Tea extract (like the green tea extract found in Eiro Energy) can significantly increase the activity of glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, glutathione S-transferase, catalase, SOD, and quinone reductase.(2,3) What this means is that with a consistent supply of EGCG (from Eiro Energy) not as much Glutathione, Catalase, and Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is required to quench the oxidative stress that our cells are under. Dr. Bill Misner, of Hammer Nutrition, writes, “the harder you work, and the more oxidative stress you expose your body to, the less the body’s in-house antioxidants are able to reduce/neutralize free radicals.” By providing the body with high quality antioxidants (from Eiro) you take a tremendous strain off this in-house system. Combine that with the fact that clinical research has shown that EGCG can potentially raise Glutathione levels(4) and you have a very favorable condition within the body. One more way that Eiro Research helps you “Make Yourself Whole.”
